Frightening Beauty

Frightening Beauty

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

A slightly contradicting song, about falling into something you don't really understand.

"

Somethings changing

I can feel it moving in

Time is waning

Now I'm burning beneath my skin

(Chorus)

It's beautiful yet sonehow terrible

Frightening yet some how comfortaing

Light now reigns yet somehow darkness

fills the sky and chokes my heart

Here I stand

Slipping away into nothingness

Now my hands

Are shaking as darkness closes in

(Chorus)

I won't let this world fall away from me

I'll cling to it with my last breath

Though slowly, yes slowly, I'm fading

I'll stand 'till we all fall down

x2

(Chorus)

I'll stand 'till we all fall down

(This premonition won't do me in)

x3, fading out
