The Journey

The Journey

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

A rambling moment of eerie thought.

"

The road runs before me

and I fall behind

The Path fades so slowly

Somehow I don't mind

Strangelly

It doesn't bother me

If I never get where i'm going

Smoke gathers on the horizon

Floating like the shadows

of my past uncertainties.

Life is a cycle

What once was

Will be again

What was lost will be found

And lost again

It's all so certian in the end.

So I don't really care

If I ever reach the end

of my journey.

I'll get there someday

Just not today.
