Release Me

Release Me

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

Meant to be a hard rock song, written in a time where i felt trapped by other peoples choices. Honestly, i still feel that way today.

"

These chains are way too tight

and theres never enough light

in this prison cell they keep me in

My mind is not quite sound

My feet are losing ground

Don't think this fights one i can win

(Chorus)

So God release me

Save me from these chains

Release me

Before i go insane!

Release me know

Cause i'm freaking out!!!!!!!!

My walls are crashing in

so vulnerable in my own skin

how do i make it

through this time

My life's a hurricane

Chaos, wind, and rain

It's such a mess far from sublime

(Chorus)

Sor far from where we wanna be

cause for us freedoms just a memory

in this time and place can't make a sound

cause we're lost and scared we won't be found

(Chorus * 2)

Free me, show me the light(*3)

i think its about inner struggle that an individual goes through to set oneself free from artificial aura one's breathe in..or it may be about people fighting for the freedom.nevertheless,it touched my heart
