Absolute Zero

Absolute Zero

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

This came to me not long after a chemistry lesson on Absolute Zero, the Holy Grail of cold... I found it quite fascinating

"

The absence of Light

Of Sound

Of Heat

Of Movement

Atoms and a Standstill

Some theorize

this state of non-movement

Almost nonexistance

Is the reason for the black holes

The absolute cold

Their center piece

Drowning out

The Light

The Sound

The Heat

The Movement

Of everything around it

The devouring power

Of Absolute Zero
