My Yellow

My Yellow

A Poem by Evie
"

A love letter to the colour Yellow

"
Ah, Yellow,
sweet, sweet Yellow.
I love you like I love the sun.
Because, to me, you are the sun.
Yellow,
joy bounces off of you,
do you see it?
I can.
Ah, Yellow,
happy and pleasant
you are.
Do you think of me
the way I think of you?
I hope so.
Yellow,
I don't own you,
you aren't mine.
Dearest Yellow,
you belong to the daisies along the road,
to the roses around the fence.
You belong to the sky.
Yet, I will still call you my Yellow
since you are the light to my shadows.
I love you Yellow.
My Yellow.

Simple and clever. I began liking yellow for a second reading this poem. Nice reminder of all the nice things that are the color yellow, sweet, sweet yellow.

Thanks for the review! I appreciate it very much.
Since you are light to my shadows❤❤loved this line. Overall poetry is nice. May be I think you can collaborate for next colour.
