In and OnA Poem by Elissa-MelodyA poem I wrote way back in the day. Just an inner-monologue of a past relationship.
On my knees, trying to get you back.
On my back, thinking about all the times I messed up. On my stomach, crying into a pillow. On my mind...On my mind...
The knife is on my wrist. I am on the floor. In my mind...In my mind... "Just do it..." The voices in my head screams. Just do it...Just do it... The blade; on my wrist. You; in, on, are my mind. "I love you" the voices whisper. It’s in my heart. It’s on my mind. I wear it on my sleeve. I plaster it on my face. Hoping, maybe, you’ll believe me again. The blade; still on my wrist. The tears; still in my eyes. You; will always be in, on, my mind. *Slice…* I watch as my blood drips on the rug. Every drop, a remembrance to you. Every tear, a stain on my soul. A stain, a scar, a rip? What is it that you left? The good and the bad Made up to nothing more than this. © 2013 Elissa-MelodyAuthor's Note
