"A Time Off Somewhere"

"A Time Off Somewhere"

A Poem by Elise Pehrson
"

Tribute to how I got my name: from "Somewhere in Time"

"

A little child in ‘79

Clinging to the T.V. screen

Devastated at a love so lost,

Inspired by a lovely find.

“My first daughter will bear that name”

The ten-year-old breathed.

Tears tampered, dampening the child’s

Face.

Such an uncommon name

So commonly misplaced.

Elise McKenna"

Jane Seymour’s role

That played with the heartstrings

On ten-year-old girls

Wishing to be like her

But with luck,

Love.

What else is there to say

About a time so far away

A name

Somewhere in Time.
