True Impartiality

True Impartiality

A Poem by Elise O'Haire

Who is right?
Who is wrong?
If one is right,
The other must be wrong!
Accusations, assumptions
Who tells the lies?
Who tells the truth?
Our blackened souls block the good,
Foggy visions keep us from justice and nobility.
Who is objective?
Who is biased?
Even a judge must have his own opinion.
Beliefs, impressions
Where is true impartiality?
Will this world ever find it?
Indeed, One bears the name Objective.
He is crowned with all fairness and love.
But will you peel away the layers of your heart
And let Him wipe away your tears?
Ideas, convictions
The Ultimate Judge dislikes giving death sentences,
And rejoices in giving the ticket of life.
He is the only impartial person;
Will you clear the fog from your eyes and see?

This is just something I thought of. It might not even make sense, but it was just up there swimming around in my head.

interesting. definitely makes sense in a "figure out the meaning for yourself" kind of way. ambiguity is a great writing device to use.
