Far Away From Home

Far Away From Home

A Poem by Elise O'Haire

Far away from home,
On a train headed to nowhere.
A nomad lost and wandering;
Searching for love in a world
That doesn’t care.

The memories that haunt him,
From the place he once called home,
Drives him into a deepening depression
As he sets out on this road of roam.

The train tracks keep on going,
Distancing him from his past.
The people that he meets,
Treat him as an outcast.

Far away from home,
On a train headed to nowhere.
A nomad lost and wandering;
Searching for love in a world
That doesn’t care.
