Don't Go.A Poem by Eliot KnightFeels a little incomplete to me but it's how it came out.‘Where are you going?’ ‘Away.’ ‘Why?’ ‘Because I must.’ ‘Where will you go?’ ‘Far away.’ ‘You mean from me?’ ‘From myself.’ ‘And me.’ ‘And you.’ ‘Don’t go.’ ‘Don’t go?’ ‘Don’t go.’ ‘You don’t mean that.’ ‘No, but stay anyway.’ ‘Why?’ ‘You want this of me.’ ‘I do.’ ‘So, stay.’ There wasn’t much she could say after- not that there wasn’t
more to be said. Actions speak louder than words but it’s silence that echoes
through reminiscence. © 2016 Eliot KnightAuthor's Note
