Koyaanisqatsi (Life out of Balance)

A poem based on the film ´Koyaanisqatsi' with directed by Godfrey Reggio with cinematography by Ron Fricke.

Our planet seems destroyed.

We seek relief by quitting it.

Earthly wonders, however, restore our memories of how sublime it is.

It is indeed beautiful, desolate and lifeless.

What did we do to deserve the presence of ourselves in this vast desert?

Truthfully, we don deserve it, because we can´t enjoy it.

When we are given aloneness, all we can think of is loneliness.

Maybe that is why it seems destroyed.

Maybe that is why we destroy it.

We subconsciously desire this interrupted, out of balance lifestyle.
