A Poem by Elijah

Sapphire starts the morning bright

Filling our souls with joy and delight

But darkning black controls the night

Loading our minds with tremble and fright

We decorate our yards with auburn trees

And then they're pollinated by golden bees

Crimson cherries fall onto the ground

As we pick them up the bees provide sound

Maroon uniforms fill the field

As the quarterback has the football in wield

Turquoise water fills the sea

As we sit on our boat drinking brunette tea

A poem about life and what surrounds us...the people, nature, seasons...a poem that teaches us to appreciate what is going on in the world. I really enjoyed the theme of this piece =]

I loved this poem, even though it was so short you used rhyme perfectly without it feeling forced and the colours were all just so vivid to me I really like this :)
