Giant RobotsA Poem by Elijah GleavesLove poem and giant robots..... awwwwWhat’s more enticing than a walking Titanium skyscraper, Shooting lasers from its eyes and anti-tank rounds from its chest?” Not much. Just from the description of that Twenty ton chunk of awesome, My pulse quickens faster Than the Daytona 500. That racing, Adrenaline induced high, Is only comparable to the sensation felt With a quick and incentive glance at you. Yes, You. The one Whose very presence gives me The wings of a Gundam; The ability to escape the constraints of Earth, And shower you with machine gun rounds of adoration. Yes, You. Because Optimus Prime has nothing on us. You’re the only being powerful enough To transform this frail vessel Into a sex fueled cyborg Smoother than Jazz and sweeter than Bumblebee's honey. And I repeat. Yes,You. No purple photon powered light saber or nuclear engine Could ever replace you. Like that blue lion that forms the left arm of Voltron, You complete me. We're the new Roger and Dorothy. Cruising on Big O; the Paradigm of futuristic couples. When I'm rampaging through the city Climbing buildings like cement colored trees, On the back of my Iron Giant, I'll think of you. I'd even let you ride on my robot's shoulder And enjoy the view. But then again maybe not Girls come and go but Giant robots are always cool. © 2011 Elijah GleavesReviews
