Back To Basics

Back To Basics

A Poem by Elijah Gleaves
"

A poem about getting back into the habit of writing

"

Thoughts boil under the heat of a summer sun.

Images of undiscernable entites, shadows and shillouettes

Appear in his minds eye like dreams of desires never before realized.

Creativity.

Ingeinuity.

Uniqueness.

All meaningless until coupled with the artist's catalyst:

Imagination.

The world open its arm's wide

And the artist

Prepares to embrace it;

He climbs from the lazy boy that is his monotonous life

And strecthes his apathied muscles.

It's back to basics from here on.

Ah yes.....embracing the art again, the build up to embracing that creative process again here is exhilirating!
Poetry in itself, the wandering through to find the habit once more......the imagery is stunning here!
I love this!
