Midnight SunA Poem by Elie Marie
I fell in love with a new land
like I fell in love with you hard and fast out of the blue not meaning to. I fell in love with a new place like I fell in love with you It felt a bit like home It was new but comfortable It fit well But I left I miss it, already But you felt like home too You still do I left a piece of me in the land of the talking trees But you, it wasn't a piece it was my soul that stayed I miss the familiarity of a language I don't fully understand I miss the magic of paint colours gracing the night skies I miss it like it was a bit of home And I miss you For you felt like home, too.

I've never gotten feedback or been part of anything like this, I'd love to hear what anyone other than me thinks of my words.. more..Writing
