Lines from the Book of WonderA Poem by Eli_blu This is a poem written by my freind, Julien Puzey, February 8, 1945 --- February 29, 2008 predicting another world the universe shakes, shimmers dragonfly eyes take shape in the darkness wings are yesterday and tomorrow the universe shifts, shimmers wolves gather to chorus in the desert wings are yesterday and tomorrow meadows celebrate wild wolves gather to chorus in the desert roots of tulips anchor the dark story meadows celebrate wild white petals dance spirals roots of tulips anchor the dark story somewhere a swallowtail emerges white petals dance spirals a great uncrinkling like spindrift somewhere a swallowtail emerges tears, ocean tides drawn by the moon a great uncrinkling like spindrift echoes of the stone tossed in a pool tears, ocean tides drawn by the moon the wet stone resonates echoes of the stone tossed in a pool swallowtail flutters her wings the wet stone resonates buttercups and watercress thrive in the ditchbank swallowtail flutters her wings sunlight circles light to life buttercups and watercress thrive the ditchbank ephemeral window ice crystals sunlight circles light to life sunset and new dreams ephemeral window ice crystals white owl weaves the branches sunset and new dreams wearing moonlight on her wings white owl weaves the branches she understands the underside of leaves wearing moonlight on her wings a koan of living light she understands the underside of leaves shaping the cosmos inside us inside the universe a koan of living light how goldfinch and sunflower arise together shaping the cosmos inside us inside the universe breeze flutters house wrens how goldfinch and sunflower arise together life breath is carried in the wind breeze flutters house wrens falling into love life breath is carried in the wind shaped by wholeness falling into love wonder resounds a single revelatory cord shaped by wholeness compassion flourishes wonder resounds a single revelatory cord cranes carry prayers compassion flourishes geese weave thier way home cranes carry prayers consciousness ignites in flowing sentience geese weave their way home ocean surrenders to cloud, cloud to river consciousness ignites in flowing sentience dragonfly eyes take shape in darkness ocean surrenders to cloud, cloud to river predicting another world
