Gone

Gone

A Poem by Eli_blu
"

This was about my fear of loosing my mom to breast cancer while I was gone.

"

We were gone,

floating out of your sight.

Maybe if it happened earlier,

it wouldn't have happened at all.

I was gone,

still there but out of reach.

My mind was elsewhere,

and it's too late to apologize.

You were gone,

and it was unavoidable.

It would've come to pass eventually,

but i wasn't ready, none of us were.

And now it's all gone

it's never coming back.

There's a hole where you lie,

where you sleep.
