When I was very young, I was visiting my godmother in Salem for the weekend, I think. I really liked it there, even though she had nothing to eat with gluten in it. She was a real health nut. Well while I was there, we were heading to a place that was kind of like a Butterfly Emporium, they called it. Well, before i went in there I had no problem with butterflies. But Imagine, walking into a giant room filled with creatures flying around, getting into your face, landing on your arms and just fluttering everywhere. It's the fluttering that really gets me. But then, a huge butterfly, which was only a bit smaller than my head, landed right on my neck. Right on it! I felt like a bird had perched on me. It was so terrifying, I would have rather been inside the snake part of the weird zoo-like place. So now, whenever I am near a butterfly, I can't help but scream. It scares me. I realize later that it won't hurt me any more than a fly could, but it doesn't help the fact that I find butterflies scary. I get really embarrassed afterwards, as well. Just another creature on the huge list of things that scare me. Seeing butterfly pictures don't scare me, though. Just the fluttering.
