Muddy waters

Muddy waters

A Poem by Eleon

I've been thinking about you all day

eyes like pools of muddy water

never clear enough

But brown, full of natures earthy secrets

I've seen fishes splash their golden tails on the surface

Sending shimmering ripples around your iris

I've seen vines growing fast

Like tentacles of an octopus

Bursting through the liquid surface

Reaching out to branch out

your mind

There is always something stirring at the ocean floor

Waking walking

Naked feet

Painted nails in muddy waters

Walking thoughts that can't be anchored

Like shipwrecked ghosts

Walking for eternity, turbid sand clouds around their skeleton feet

For eternity

But I've watched you sleep soundly

Like I can't

seeing the restless translucent feet kicking up the mud

At the bottom of your dreaming mind

Between your closed eyes

Temple ghosts

Then you put your hands around my head

And said

I can feel your thoughts, thinking

Thinking

Shhhh just stop, let them rest

Shhhh
