My First and Last Thought

Your arms wrap around me.

I embrace your benevolent hug.

As the moon sets up the mood,

I'm gazing into your eyes.

Our faces start to meet for a soft and gentle kiss.

As we lay here beneath the stars,

They make a pleasant night blanket for us.

Our hands clenched together,

Hearts reunited beating strong we become one.

In the morn, you are my waking thought.

As I drift away into the night,

You are the last thought within my heart.

You fill my dreams with happiness and joy;

I can't wait to rise.

Once again, to see your smiling face,

And as our day comes to an end,

When it is time for me to leave.

I cannot seem to get my feet to move,

For I am in the place I want to be...
