Riddles in the Dark

Riddles in the Dark

A Poem by Chelsea Marie

The world is covered in darkness,
An essence of a subtle wind
Carries a truth upon its journey.
But there can be no truth
Without a lie,
No gain without sacrifice,
No strength without struggle,
And no light without darkness.
Dark travels faster than light,
For it always finds its way first,
And patiently waits
For its optimistic counterpart.
