Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming

A Poem by Chelsea Marie

Just a flash of a storm

And you become the sky to me.

How long does the heart yearn,

How long does the soul burn?

How long do the eyes search to quench their thirst?

You are the sun,

You are the moon,

This pyre was built for you.

I want to indulge in the sense of touch,

Feel your lips against mine.

In the flash of a storm,

I felt the stillness of your breath

In harmony with mine,

And the way you called my name

Was as if to bring me home.

In the flash of the rain,

I kiss yours eyes.

Yet with the stillness of my breath,

I find it odd

To only be dreaming of you

When you were right next to me.
