What We Choose To Be

What We Choose To Be

A Poem by Chelsea Marie

The stars align in your eyes,
Maybe we can shine,
Spread wings and fly like the stars that show no bounds.
I know not what I think.
Lend me the strength to grow wings and ascend from the ground,
I won't be tied down.
Make it be heard.
I won't be tied down inside a cage.
Birds were meant to sing and I won't die here,
Will not lie here.
We are divine,
And I will thrive like a dove on the path of serenity.
