Dearly Beloved SisterA Poem by Chelsea MarieThe perfect storm collides, Within my mind, I see the heavens crack, the moon descend, The oceans crash upon the sun. In night, we are helpless. In night, we pray for day. In night, fire is the only way we see. A sister, it was, that once held my hand. A sister that once shared my blood. A wind has swept your conscious dreams to ash. A sister, it was, that once told me of the world, But it has been a sister that has put me to death. The perfect love corrupts, Within my eyes, I see a treachery, a deal upheld You turned him against me. In night, will I be able to forgive your envy? In night, will I be allowed to wake? In death, will you regret your sacrimony? A sister, it was, that once shared my skin. A sister that once shared my bond. Jealousy has dimmed the color of your eyes. A sister, it was that once believed in me, But it has been a sister that has laid me to sleep. You thought yourself a goddess, But how could you have known, That an archangel seeks revenge With no regard for your soul? While we once shared a unity, You foiled your destiny, By destroying mine. A sister, it was, that once held my hand. A sister that once shared my blood. A wind has swept your conscious dreams to ash. A sister, it was, that once told me of the world, But it has been a sister that has put me to death. A lover, it was, that you took away from me. A lover that once shared my heart. You were a disease that enveloped his mind. A lover, it was, that agreed to your demands, And it was a lover and a sister that condemned me to death. © 2013 Chelsea MarieReviews
