Piano Man

Piano Man

A Poem by Chelsea Marie
"

This is a poem I recently found. I actually wrote this in middle school. So...be nice XD

"
On a boardwalk by the ocean bay,
I saw the figure of a man in black.
As I approached, he removed his hat,
A faded color of gray.
He smiled and said, "I've missed the bay. It's nice to be back".
"But sir," said I, "Where is it that you have been?"
At this he laughed and returned his hat to his head.
"Away, making love to my tonic and gin.
In a small bar, so alone, I have sat."
The man in black smiled a fake smile,
As if he desired the sound of a piano,
Singing to his heart and his soul.
His misery needs company,
But his life needs nothing more than a melody.
