Beauty in Death

Beauty in Death

A Poem by Chelsea Marie
"

This work describes how we will never see what lies beyond until we venture there, and that once we arrive there, it will hopefully be everything we want it to be.

"
What lies beyond thine eyes is but a mystery.
There is symmetry in the deepest places of the world,
Where what walks may crumble and what once was dead may rise.
This is a cherishable ignorance,
It is but bliss.
Averting thine eyes would only hurt thy soul,
Crush the bones and turn them to stone.
A stone that cannot be polished, nor sold.
We are our own destinies, our own human.
Our own subtlety, our own love.
What lies beyond thine eyes is but a path we strain to see.
One that is long and futile,
One that may break the hands, but make strong the weak.
This is the undergrowth that shapes us,
A persona that leads to the light of a better future, a better world.
What lies beyond these eyes is but clarity.
When we have layed down to rest,
Only then may we see what lies beyond.
Only then, may we see the future.
