Glorify

Glorify

A Poem by Chelsea Marie

You're afraid of the spotlight against your face.
The tints and shades of your mortality,
Dull, as a wash of gray.

But now,
As you forget how to feel,
I'll lift you to the sky for the first time in years.
I have a feeling you'll fly,
I just know you'll fly this time.

Back to square one,
Before the paint began to chip away,
I saw the glory in your face.
You could breath in space,
And I was all you could've known.
Come back, I won't run this time,
You're my ticket home.
