Sensation

Sensation

A Poem by Chelsea Marie

Power lies within the soft embrace,
Of melody, song, and rhythmic kiss.
A drop on the somber cheek of thy face,
Or within the smile of long lost bliss.

Return to the eyes calm senses of seas
And to the hands a heightened love of touch.
For when the voice fades in chill Autumn breeze,
The power will barely seem like much.
And when the ashes turn to morbid dust,
And the seeds bloom in the warmth of new days,
Thee shall extinguish the self proclaimed lust
To bring new peace to where the traitor stays.

A melody will no longer hold sway,
Yet, look ahead to a tranquil, new day.
