Midnight rain

Midnight rain

A Poem by Eldridge Dulatas

What is sunshine without a little rain?
As long as you love, you’ll feel pain
Worth it?
What is a lover with feelings unreturned?
Martyr?
As long as you love, you’ll mourn
You still want this?
What is love without boundaries?
Selfishness?
Enough…
I long for her as the moon craves the sun’s attention
Its worth every second her presence graze mine
I admire her, like a child that sees a butterfly for the first time.
Behead me, I don’t mind
I love her…
At last a sunshine, amidst all the rain
