TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS

TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS

A Poem by El din Cal

TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS

Lord Jesus I thank you for allowing me to see twenty-eight years

Twenty-eight years of mercy and not of fear

Twenty-eight years of divine grace

Thank you for allowing me to seek your face

Thank you for allowing me to taste

To touch

To feel to enjoy

Thank you for life itself

Thank you for supernatural health

Thank you for provision from your eternal wealth

Thank you for your gifts

That you would see fit

To cleanse my lips with your finger tips

Thank you for being the captain of my ship

Thank you for leading me and guiding me along the way

Thank you for rainy and sunny days

Thank you for leading me through troubled waters

Thank you that you have blessed me to one day marry one of your daughters

Thank you for constantly freeing me form the power of sin

Thank you for being my King

Thank you Lord for dwelling within

Thank you for dying on the cross

Thank you for carrying my burdens that you did bear

Thank you for drying up my tears

And for being there for me even in my nightmares

Thank you for wonderful dreams

Thank you for delivering me from dangers seen and unseen

Thank you for divine healing

Thank you for being the only person in this universe that understands and knows how I’m feeling

I thank you again for life

And for showing me my wife

Thank you for allowing me to properly breathe

Thank you for supplying all my needs

From your riches in glory by Christ Jesus indeed

And for showing me how to sow good seeds

Thank you for your spirit

I am no longer timid

I am now bold

Thank you Lord for allowing me to live to be twenty-eight years old
