October Rain

October Rain

A Poem by ENChance
"

This is a song I wrote about my OLD best friend, who started wearing makeup to get more popular in 6th grade...

"

I remember the day

Oh, in that cold October rain,

The day you stoop me up and said

You wanted me to change

I walked away

Trying to hide my true feelings

From showing up on my face

You'd never ever be the same...

Where's the girl I met 3 years ago?

Where did she go?

Where did you go?

You left me all along.

I know we faught,

I know we'd fuss,

But you promised nothing could split us.

You buried your face in makeup

Creating a perfect disguise.

I asked you this question over and over...

Why?

You said you grew up,

You had moved on.

You wanted to be that popular girl,

Doing your hair from dust 'till dawn.

Looks were all that mattered.

After all, It was only my heart you shattered.

My dreams were cracked.

Oh, I wanted you back!

Well, it's been a while since you were gone.

I forgot and I moved on.

But time never healed the pain I felt.

Where did you go?

You left me all along.

I know we faught,

I know we'd fuss,

But you promised nothing could split us.

Oh, where did you go?

Where's the girl I used to know?

Your true identity will never show again...

I remember the day

Oh, in that cold October rain,

The day you stoop me up and said

You wanted me to change.

Oh, In that cold October Rain...
