I loved writing it that late summer evening I finished working late and noticed all of those things while carrying the heaviness of the stories I had just heard at work. Sitting in the place of dialectics fascinates me. Thank you for your review!
Yeah typical life, and not so typical... But still life.
Being a night person, I can quiet readily live into this one. There's nothing to think about, you just have to feel it.

Very nice dance of words dear Elaine. I liked the honest thoughts and the positive ending. I learn with old age. Make every new day, a good day. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

the constant flickering of lightening bugs, and the cadence of crickets...find themselves in your alliteration.
And it works...I really am fond of the last line..."And I'm thankful I sat with it"---almost like you
and the evening had tea together.
nicely done, Elaine,

I like this Elaine. The varied moods of the night allegorical of life itself.
