Socio's need Love tooA Poem by Elaina Monroe
Your taste is just like honey,
if only honey were dipped in cyanide.. My love is enough- For the both of us- and your gaze leaves me cold inside.. Just like that! It was short lived Nothing more than a whisper Nothing less of a glimpse Just mixed emotions with a hint of a flutter, Drowned deep in the pools of our obvious gutter Yet what was made of all the clutter? Finally- an answer while you turned to hug her.. I was alone in that spot Only left to wonder Of known acknowledgements Silent as thunder accepting confusion to replace my closure Alas.... ..I wish my mother thought things through When telling stories I never knew... I was lead to believe certain things were true So it worked against me loving you.... I reminice and wish you'd never had me- Now I'm praying on my knees for daddy.. © 2017 Elaina MonroeFeatured Review
