![]() RigolettoA Poem by Elaenor Aisling![]() Inspired by the movie Rigoletto, a very old one, but a favorite of mine from childhood.![]() A Beautiful soul hidden within a casing of harsh rebuke kept secret in the catacombs of a dusty heart. Nothing to break it free from its stone cage. No one hear it cry in the dark of the tombs of long lost memories.
It is in want of air the tombs are filled with the stench of a rotten spirit which keeps the soul bound, as its jailor within the body of a misshapen brute.
Its memories are becoming tarnished its eyes, clouded they no longer see hope hope has died to them no thought of freedom enters the mind it seems to late for that now.
But nay, it is never to late for hope hope will always rise as a bird singing its song even within the tombs of long lost memories. © 2011 Elaenor AislingReviews |
