This Our Toxic Earth

Another Earth Day poem.

 

This Our Toxic Earth

 

 

Walkin around lookin down at the ground.

Seein the disease rot it away, this Earth.

Humanity draggin its feet as if nothins happenin.

Sky so blue, deadly radiation tearin through.

Lakes, rivers, streams, and ponds polluted to the core.

Elastics, plastics, bottles, and cans liter the streets more.

Enough said, just do what you can,

Enough done? I will take my stand.

Don’t be lookin so mighty, lookin to highly;

You think you got it though just look at our Earth.

Cause it’s this our Toxic Earth.

Look at out Toxic Earth, look but don’t be deceived,

It’s this our Earth has been created by us.

You think it will be ok just cause we have landfills.

It’s the pollution of humanity that will destroy us.

Look, but don’t be deceived, It’s this our Toxic Earth.

Animals everywhere lookin for home.

The only thing they see is slivers of chrome.

Lookin back at the things you’ve done,

Don’t be so haughty thinkin lifes all fun.
