The White ElephantA Poem by El ChicoA tale of building to wasteWith trumpets and tambourines the ceremony began… To ring-in the Titanic was the plan Many a dollar was spent, whilst Uncle Sam ignored the cents " sense A toilet to many was the cry, for men like these cover their stench with
roses in bloom With brilliant white teeth they smiled a sheen, these rosey men of tailor-suited high-esteem let rip their shiney
gleens, captured by the bulbs of glory for the evening news story… Many days passed, their million dollar elephant laid bare, a lazy thorn
upon my stare, amidst the daylight glare… Beyond their grasp lay the treasure, for they lack the thought of good
measure… A solution sought for their dilemma, the elephant arose to bring
displeasure… A discussion in discourse, opposing views held in polarity. Will sense
surpass insanity? Or will the white elephant spew forth her profanity? Pay her 4 million for
clarity… better yet it should have went to charity !!!
