Unyielding

Strength in weakness.

High within the clouds 

You stood above us

Marching your sky legions to war

The mellow beat of conquest

You shouted, "Never reign! Never reign!"

"Just pour"

Steady advance 

Never push the line

Natural temptation

Victory....

But again you shout,

"Never reign! Never reign!"

"Just pour"

So we humbled ourselves

But...

Your shouts were never heard...

Not until you fell from the sky

Cut down by flames and rocks

Replaced by a new Lord

He yelled, "Push, kill, die"

We did

Until it dawned on us

What our old Lord truly said 

Never reign, never reign

Because to reign,

Is to be forgotten.......

I like these small series of thoughts and expressions. It's as if we get to see small facets of your mind. It's as you're telling pieces of stories. With this one, it reminds me of the 1800-1900's where a nation is as strong as their king. Well, when it reigns it pours. There is a strong sense of battle in here that screams perseverance. In life, we all have struggles that we have to get through. Push on. I like this. Great read.
