A Poem by Final-Karma
"

"How dangerous is the acquirement of knowledge?"

"
Broken
Would you stay?

From your home
Would you cling to me?

Tethered

You subdue my mind

Every passing eye watches
This waking life distressed

How beautiful the skies flowers
Trails of white lace
Porcelain skin

Your thoughts an illusion
Mechanical pleasures
What have you done?

Tunnel vision

I waste away
Inside your soul

Raising the dead
You'd kill to free me

I fill with joy

Measured in curve
Your silhouette ventures

Tempting the dragon

A blissful dance with fire

Your freedom stripped
We are all one in the same

So I ask again...

Broken
Would you stay?

From your home
Would you cling to me?

Or will you run into the nothing
Leaving no trace behind

The measure of one's worth by who they are upon this earth. Its like we seek to understand that which is beyond our thoughts and ponder if a battle must be fought. Yet, after seeing my soul's measure is it something valuable for you to treasure? Interesting, your poem caused me to go into another poetic mode of mine and I appreciate that. I can visualize a struggle between your version of home, purpose in life, and passion for another. Whether whole or broken I'd support you because your story hasn't been completely spoken. excellent work and keep writing my friend :)

A passion for haiku poetry began during world literature studies, inspired by its ability to convey profound ideas in a few syllables. Many of these haikus, capturing life's fleeting beauty, are featured in the book Blue Harlequin.
