The downfall of the queen herself

When I am with her, I feel renewed. Time slows itself down and all I can see is her. All of her. She is the most beautiful creature to behold and I get lost inside her mind.

What is this feeling?

She calms my heart 

I am bathed and cleansed in her radiance.

I feel it growing.

Our time together is short but it feels as if I have known her through many ages of different times. Thousands of years have passed since we have made our presence known to each other, but the timing is perfect.

Can you see what I do?

I feel her vibrate through me as if my body is shaping itself to hers and hers to mine.

Almost in synch.

She is anamorphic. Evolving to a higher state and I want to be there with her.

Take my hand.

Counterbalancing life and purity on either side but still holding chaos at bay. I'm sinking within her. Drowning in a feeling unknown to my heart. My ship of curiosity finally striking the Iceberg of Fate.

This could be my end.

In the depths, beneath these dark emotional waves, I see a face. I see her. I reach.

Is she real?

All feelings of euphoria leave my exalted body when the realization sets in. Her eyes pale white. Her hair, silk in nature, but as static and fierce as a roaring fire. Her skin like golden waves.

Fate has intervened.

She places her warm but cold to the touch hands on my chest, and she peers into my eyes with those marble whites.

She cuts my soul in two

A stare that would leave you catatonic and without breath. She continues to stare as we sink deeper and deeper into the depths.

No end in sight

But I remember her beauty. No matter what form she takes, her alluring spirit is eternal. The farther we sink, the more she shines to me.

I embrace her.

As I hold her, we catch ablaze. Through the depths we sink, engulfed in a fire so hot, it's passionate. I never want to leave her. I never want to let go.

Goodness. This is good writing, but a bit spooky for my personal taste. There's something about absolute love, total commitment, merging of souls, and the resulting unsaid resolution to go with this whatever. It's beautiful but scary as well. I'm reminded that an orgasm is sometimes described as a little death, and this in some ways is like an extended spiritual version of the same idea.

'A stare that would leave you catatonic'. Just one example of the impact in your phrasing. As I say, not a comfortable piece for my tastes, but hats off - it's very well done.

Thank you! I really appreciate your review. This was something I wrote awhile ago. It started off as lyrics but moved into something a bit more. Wow! I mean, I'm speechless. This was perfect. The format, the descriptions, everything just made this a real treat to read. I loved how you had a couple/one long sentence and then a shorter sentence, it just made your writing flow so well. This poem was just flashing before my eyes and I can assure you it is definitely up there with one of my all time favorite poems on here. I don't know if this is how you mean't for your poem to be, but while reading this I interpreted it as two lovers who were leaving their bodies and astral projecting into the spirit realm. Everything about this poem is just perfection and you really did an amazing job here. I wish I was half as good at writing as you are - you truly have a talent for writing and bring a certain eloquence to your works.
