Metaphors are MineA Poem by Eric KaunMetaphors, metaphors, metaphors!
The sky is butter
Spread with a knife of love
And clouds are marshmallows
Soft, and stuck above
The grass is carpet
Stained with wonders
Filled with creatures
And hidden blunders
The moon drinks milk from stars above
Hidden by the dark so true
And as the birds of wisdom grow
You shouldn’t know but so do you
Thoughts falling ever swiftly down
There’s nothing left to think of now
To contemplate a hidden world
Will cause you stress and crease your brow
Messages hidden in the rain
Will bring about a land of love
And wrapped in sunshine warm as earth
We find our path fits like a glove
