Chapter 3A Chapter by Ej12345Brit's point of view If I have to sit through another minute of Mase and John arguing over who was the best Miss World winner 2013 or 2012, or something like that, I will kill both of them. What makes it worse is that I'm in between them so they are arguing over my head. How kind. Even Glynnie shouting at them didn't stop them for more than thirsty seconds, and they only stopped because they couldn't hear each other to bicker. "It was so 2012, you're just in denial," John yells over me at Mase once we're out of the car. That is it. I have had enough of the both of them "Let's get something straightened out, shall we? I don't care and never will care about some girl who won a competition looking better than someone else who won a competition. I don't care and if either of you mention it again I will hurt you so badly that you will have trouble speaking let alone bickering. Am I understood?" I threaten glaring at John as he starts smirking at Mase. "2012 was better," John splutters laughing at Mase and me. He is so dead. I lunge at his. It's his fault I warned him not to say anything. He's the one who didn't listen. "Ah, ah, ah, now Miss Matthews we can't have you getting hurt now can we?" Liam says talking to me like you would a child as he pulls me away from John I'll get him later, he can wait. "Officer Thompson, are you implying that I can't stand my own in a fight?" I bite back bitterly. He cannot call me weak. "I wasn't implying anything I was just saying that if you get injured because you were being stupid and couldn't testify then the whole case would fall apart and he'd get an alibi and be put back out on the street. Do you want that? I didn't think so," Liam answers angrily, as Aunty Belle gets out of her car. He didn't have to use Max against me it's not like I was trying to get into a fight on purpose, well maybe I was. "Britty come here, I need you to hold the dogs back so i can grab my handbag," Aunty belle shouts motioning for me to come over. This is so not over yet. "Brittany it's good to see you," a short blond haired lady says answering the door. I think she's one of my aunts or cousins or one of mum's friends. Actually yeah I think she's a family friend or something. Her names Talia I think. It definitely begins with a T. Tilly. Tanya. No. Come on what is it. "Thank you Tatyana," Mother says. That's it. I so knew that, exactly what I said well almost. Please let this go well. Please let this go well I pray. Let's just say me and my mother don't have the best relationship on the planet. She never listened to anything I said and her views were always right and the best, not. She was so judgemental; she became worse after Dad left, but then again he's not exactly an example of best father of the year. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that Dad's away on a 'business trip' that involves large quantities of booze and 'business associates' who usually turn out to be random women from the bars he goes to. He can do what he likes it's not like my parents are married anymore or that he needs to be present to see his daughter who he hasn't seen for two years. Oh no booze is so much more important than that. "Hello Mr and Mrs Matthews. I'm Officer Thompson and this is Officer Glyn-Fern, as you know we are going to be protecting your daughter," Liam says going all formal, again. What is with him and being all posh and proper? OOOH look at me being all pompous and posh. "Officer, yes I think we spoke on the phone. Hello Brittany," My mother says briskly. Well at least she said hello. That's a plus side; well actually it's better than usual. "Wait who are these men Brittany? So you go through a horrific time and then you decide to bring the people who caused it home with you," My mother snaps glaring at Mase and John, what's wrong with a 'Hi Brittany, I missed you, I'm glad that you're home'? Nope, not going to ever happen I don't even know why I thought that she would be kind and nice, I made a mistake yes, I bent the rules to go out with Max, hell yes but I got kidnapped and experienced things that most people will never experience let alone all before their twentieth birthday and I think that should make up for it, she's my mother and she hasn't even said that she missed me or loves me because I made one stupid mistake, which now seems like it will rule my stupid life. "These are my friends, mother meet John and Mase, and for your information they didn't kidnap me, I was kidnapped by a psychopath, just urghh leave it I've had a long day or morning whatever it is," I tell her throwing my hands up. Well here it comes. 3. 2 .1. "Get them "Fine, I didn't even want to be here anyway. So thank you everybody for showing up to welcome me home sorry I can't stay, not my fault, blame her. Toodles," I shout back storming out of the room. Well at least I'm not deaf there is an upside to all of this She doesn't have to always be so rude I could understand her being slightly concerned but that was downright rude. Still stuck in my thoughts I walk right into something hard. Seriously I did not just walk into another wall I've got to stop doing that or I'll get a permanent bruise on my forehead. A hand comes down to help me up from the ground. Wait a minute walls don't have hands? Do they? It could be some new crazy invention of helpful walls, which were created whilst I was gone. No, walls do not have hands. I hope. Looking at my so called wall I see my twin brother Andy, Mike, Jacob and all his other friends. Oh joy, smiling awkwardly at them slightly I nod turning back towards John and Mase. "Keep your hair on Glynnie I walked out of a room I didn't run to another country yet, okay? Now I would like to go back to Andy's house. If that is okay with everyone and for the last time, I am not a toddler I can look after myself so back off," I snap storming out of the door. Urghhh why can't they get it through their thick skulls that I am not a weak little girl heck I'm probably stronger than them. Well maybe. Trying to blow off some steam before I knock anyone's head off I start to walk to the end of the road, well it's more like a cul-de-sac. "Ahh shoot," I mutter as my bracelet slips off onto the ground. "Well, Well, Well who do we have here," someone whispers behind me sending shivers down my spine. Oh s**t. © 2016 Ej12345Reviews
