Smile

Smile

A Poem by EileenMarie
"

Smile when you don't know what else to do

"

Smile

She smiles because she has to

She smiles to hide the pain

She smiles to pretend

She smiles to make others feel better

She smiles to agree

She smiles because she doesn’t know what else to do

Frown

She frowns because she has to

She frowns to hide the joy

She frowns to fit in

She frowns to make others feel better

She frowns to agree

She frowns because she doesn’t know what else to do.

Smile……… Frown………… Smile

She has a beautiful smile

She feels worthy when she smiles

She feels typical when she smiles

She feels elated when she smiles

She feels magnetic when she smiles

She feels! She feels when she smiles

She feels………….

Again thanks for all your reviews!
I really liked how you used those last two stanzas in this to make such a powerful statement and tie everything together in a nice ( and very neat! ) little package.
Thanks for turning my frown upside down!

Well done! I think you should make the font larger though since some of us have to really struggle to see the text here....lol

I fixed it :) thanks for mentioning it!
I like the use of repetition to make your point in the poem. Sometime we show a fake face to allow the world not to know our sadness. The flow of thoughts gave reason and purpose for the poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.
