At first

At first

A Poem by EileenMarie
"

our first meeting

"

As I caught my breath, I stepped out of the creepy basement

The frigid wind behind me chilled my warm body

Your smiling blue eyes oh so brilliant

As I caught my breath, I stepped out of the creepy basement

I am shivering as my knees are collapsing in an instant

You neglect to notice my steps guiding briskly

As I caught my breath, I stepped out of the creepy basement

The frigid wind behind me chilled my warm body

yes, sometimes it is like that, isn't it.
We get some feeling that we can't put our finger on, and then the hair on the back of our neck rises---we wonder of the moment---look behind us, and it is gone...a glance, a thought---a hope.
that walking from that basement, we can find it again and it will be warm.
