Abandonment

Abandonment

A Poem by EileenMarie
"

An acrostic of what Abandonment means to me

"

lways feeling alone

ewildered as to what is all the emptiness inside

ctive in life not living life

ever sure of yourself

iving into relationships as if they will melt away

bstinate towards rejection

ightmares not ceasing to end

imicking others behaviors to fit in

lated is a rare emotion

aive to belief's of joy

irelessly in search of stopping the emotional pain

EileenMarie, I love the raw pain behind your writing and how you turned Abandonment into an acronym. I love active but no living. It resonates with today's way of living of rush and rush but not take type to smell the roses as they say. I read your bio, and I commend you for using writing as a way to let out the beast inside and not repressing it. Even though you might be hurting, your helping others with your rawness in your writing. Laters, N.

EileenMarie, I can relate your acrostic poem, in more ways, than I care to remember. I wish could spare everyone from feeling this way, but that's like asking for a leopard, to change it's spots. I hope writing this, has helped to release some of your pain. Thank you, for sharing this very emotional acrostic, with us.

Thank you for reading! It's a terrible feeling & unless you've lived it you have no idea!

Sadly, I have lived through, something like this, with my family.
Nice Acrostic...sad theme. Those nightmares do seem neverending, but in time the feathers will smooth and the skies will open up. Very well done my friend.

You are very welcome my friend.
Well written and well express again. I have no words to say here . The pain despair and anguish on this piece is beyond comprehension . Don Moen's songs and music somehow offers bridge to express and connects our hearts with the One that truly knows and understand the language and deep recess of the human heart . He suffered and was tempted in everything known to men . He even experienced how to be abandoned and betrayed by His friends and even experienced loneliness Himself yet had no sin. He is the only One that could really understand and relate to the pain of the human heart .

No one should have to experience what you've mentioned here. This is a reflection of a life not many would survive. Good acrostic.
