Child of the Earth

Child of the Earth

A Poem by Elin

She strolled through her realm,
unaware of the follower.
It all seemed so natural to her,
stepping over stones and branches.
Even though it were her first time.
A new born Child of the Earth.

Hei!
This speaks to me as a beautiful metaphor, like the birth of a new born fawn or a human child in the world, facing obstacles and turns at every other corner and over coming them so as to continue living a beautiful life. Short, simple, sweet, portrayed a lot of emotion and expressiveness and makes the reader think. All in all that's the work of an artist and sums up a great write. xoxo - Kee.
