Gone Forever

A Poem written by a persona called Corliss, a lonely child.

I shouldn’t be here

I want to die

I see no point in living

Why should I even try

 

All the pain would go away

Never to return again

Lying still is how I’ll stay

Trust me-

It’s better this way

 

I can’t take this anymore

My heart hurts with each stab of the knife

Twisting and turning, spilling gore

Blood and tears and all my strife

 

When I’m gone from this forsaken place

I’ll leave a gift behind

To remind the human race

To Love the beauty inside

 

Even though myself I Love not

My Love for all of you is strong

You are precious, I haven’t forgot

I’ll never see your wrong

 

I leave you on this fateful day,

With a word that’s been said before

This word I place under much duress-
