Drunken mouths speak sober hearts

Drunken mouths speak sober hearts

"

Cheers to that!

I wish all your words were drunkenslurrs

it would make life much less confusing

you'd speak your mind all of the time and

   spend the rest just snoozing..

Drunks are a sad lot. They are perhaps a few months or a year from developing the tools needed to cope and thrive but they short circuit themselves every time they drink. They trade it all to feel better or nothing. If they keep it up they not only do not progress but they become worse sots for it all.

With that said, I do get this poem. For someone caught with the person referred to in this poem any clarity is a blessing...and then they 'spend the rest just snoozing'. Sad and true.

Would be a good life. Only problem how do you buy the booze with no money? A wish for the young in mind. Just add a good warm location with the booze and resting. Maybe found paradise for some. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Lol so true. Alcohol has seem to become the new truth potion. People hold so much inside, so when the drinking starts the words start running out. nicely done

The physical display/formatting of this poem is its strength. A very good way of showing a message while also telling it.

Short, and sweet.
Probably my preferred delivery.
Quite good.

I love this!
It's simple and lighthearted, yet it holds so much depth.
I have only just read two of your poems, and already I am recognizing and loving your style.
Cheers and have a good day.
