Sun son

Sun son

A Poem by L'Enfant Terrible

there was once this little boy
who loved the sun by far
running, laughing,playing and living
cos he liked the boy
sharing memories and thoughts to a far away being

But darkness filled the boy's soul
and there's no cure for it
and certainly it wasn't the sun's problem
so everything fell apart

And so the stars took over
especially the dark star
who filled many holes in his life
she taught him to wonder at night
to enjoy life simply without light
and to swim in the water without fear or might

But there was a need the star couldn't give him
Is that only the sun could warm him up without doing much

That was the detail
So when he woke up one day
he was gone
and so tears fell to the grass
the boy looked up
and let out a sigh.

I'm not sure if it was intended or not, but poetry is pretty open to interpretation, so here goes: it seemed to be about losing your first love. Or favorite love anyway. The boy was in love with the Sun, but the boy decides for whatever reason to move on. He turns to the stars and is pacified by them for a time, always in the back of his mind hungering for the Sun. The Dark Star tries her best to replace the Sun...but in the end...the boy looks to the heavens and sighs for his lost love.
Anyway, just my take on it. I really enjoyed it!

Astonishing, to say the least. I love the massive detail you have used.
