The flickering light

The flickering light

A Poem by Hayden McCain

Fantasy frequently fades
into the tender
shattered shades of time .
as the petals
of the present
pass their prime .
And willingly
wither away
into the
youthful yearnings
for yesterday .

Hayden McCain
I call it flickering light because the present is a flickering light slowly burning out into the past.

In life you have to deal with change time doesn’t care for what is gone . It just goes on you just have to learn how to move with it and enjoy the moment before it fades back into the pastures of the past.

Good observation here, also good alliteration. The yearnings for yesterday don't stop with youth.
