Untitled (The Cycle)

What do you think? Be brutally honest

         I have her in my bed

   I wonder what's in her head

         I love her is all I said

         Even if she ever left

   Me moving on would be so inept

         My heart she has kept

   She came to me with a confession

         I soon felt a resurrection 

   Here we go again, a lost succession

   She left me, this time I'm broken

        Depression has awoken

   No more, my happiness is stolen

This is shorter than you often write, but that does not make it unfinished. I feel there is more of the "story" to tell but it is a complete poem. You as the writer have the ability to decide what part of the 'story' to tell. I like the poem. The line breaks are great, and the rhyme (even with the slant) is very good as well.

No, it just seems like a brief recap of the course of a relationship and its (sudden?) end. Done very well, by the way. It does leave some questions unanswered, but that's intriguing.

I think it seems finished. I like it; simple, to the point, yet emotional.
It has a very interesting flow, and the only complaint I have is that the first three lines are short, and the rest are longer, so it seems a bit separated from the others.
